Camera-a was a star of the annual Master Photographers Association Northern awards, when Jane Simmons became north east licentiate portrait photographer of the year 2006. There were three awards in this section and Jane walked away with two of them, as well as an additional Award of Excellence for one of her photographs.
One of Ann Simmons' awards was the Northern Master Photographer of the year in 1999. This year she won four Awards for Excellence in Classic Portraiture, Avant Guard Weddings, Black and White Weddings and Commercial photography.
