Becci and Lorcan were married on Saturday 24th August at St.Cuthbert’s Church in Darlington and had a marquee reception in the grounds of Polam Hall School. Having had such a lovely Summer, it was a little disappointing that heavy rain was forecast but Becci and Lorcan were not going to let a little bit of rain spoil their big day!
Becci’s parent’s house was a hive of activity when we arrived on the morning of the wedding. With the beautiful bride, 6 bridesmaids and Becci’s family all getting ready, the excitement was building! Soon the time came for Becci to change into her gorgeous dress from Pronovias, London and she looked absolutely stunning! Together with, every girl’s best friend, a pair of Jimmy Choo’s and lovely bouquet by Kathryn Hume 07817 192827 (who we would always recommend!), Becci’s wedding day outfit was complete! The bridesmaids were pretty in pink in dresses by Amanda Wyatt.
Meanwhile, Lorcan’s nerves were building as well as the rain clouds, despite looking cool and collected in his suit from Slater’s! Guests gathered in St.Cuthbert’s church, ready for the bride’s arrival and the service that followed was beautiful, with a candle lighting ceremony to symbolically bring the two families together.
After the service, Becci & Lorcan were surprised by the arrival of a horse and carriage supplied by horse and carriage hire to take them to their reception! A gift from Becci’s Mum & Dad, the bride was thrilled and, on arrival at Polam Hall School we took the opportunity to take some romantic shots of the happy couple.
The marquee, from Fletcher’s, looked gorgeous, with pretty, vintage-inspired decoration and food supplied by Clive Wilkinson Catering, a gorgeous cake by Rosalie Juckes and a stack of cheeses, for those with a less sweet tooth, by The Cheese & Wine Shop, Darlington. Together with entertainment from trumpeter, Adam Juckes and harpist Kara Dawson, Becci, Lorcan and guests alike had a wonderful time and danced until the small hours of the morning!
