Camera A Wedding Photography at Rockliffe Hall Wedding of Rebecca & Brian

Rebecca and Brian were married on 17th May 2012 at All Saints Church, Hurworth and reception at Rockliffe Hall. Rockliffe Hall is a five star hotel set on a recently restored 18th century estate and won ‘Large Hotel of the Year’ at the Visit England Awards of Excellence 2012. A well deserved award as it is an absolutely stunning venue and a pleasure to photograph!

We woke on the morning of Rebecca and Brian’s wedding day to, what can only be described as, awful weather! But showers, grey skies and a definite chill in the air were not going to put a dampener on the day! Rebecca was in good spirits when we arrived at Rockliffe Hall to photograph her ‘Bride at Home’ preparations and she looked absolutely stunning when she changed into her dress from Christabel & Keats of Hartlepool. The dress was complimented perfectly with a beautiful head dress, also from Christabel & Keats and fabulous bouquet from Nattrass of Darlington. The bridesmaids wore very pretty dusky pink dresses, again from Christabel & Keats. We used the fabulous staircase at Rockliffe Hall to take some beautiful shots of Rebecca.

Arriving at All Saints Church we found Brian feeling really calm, laid back and not a bit bothered by the weather. In fact, he was eager to wear his shades and get the famous ‘Reservoir Dogs’ shot of him and his groomsmen walking towards the church! The men wore suits from Marks & Spencer’s (where Rebecca is a manager) and looked very smart. There followed a lovely service with heartfelt readings from Elaine Howells and Paul Austin but unfortunately, during the service, the heavens had decided to open (there must be some good luck attached to that I’m sure!) and everyone left the church under umbrellas.

Rebecca and Brian then travelled in style to Rockliffe Hall in a car from Fearons of Newcastle and the rain cleared up just in time for some photographs in the grounds while the guests were entertained by string quartet Andrelli. We also got some fantastic shots in the bridal suite.

We were eager to see the room laid out for the wedding breakfast and thought it looked absolutely stunning with table decoration by Nattrass and Marks & Spencer’s, cake by Marks & Spencer’s and favours by Robineau of Darlington.

Rebecca & Brian had a fantastic honeymoon in Dubai and Thailand and when they returned they were thrilled with their wedding photographs.

  1. Hello Jane,

On behalf of Alan Fearon may I express our thanks to you for the email and images of Rebecca and Brians wedding at Rockcliffe Hall on 17th May. We rarely get to see professional images of weddings which feature our cars so it was delightful to receive this. The venue and the location of the wedding was perfect, it was a pity about the deteriorating weather on the day. Once again many thanks and we hope to have the pleasure of working with you in the future.

    Best wishes,
