Lauren & Jonathan were married on 2nd August 2014 at Headlam Hall Hotel near Darlington. We have been so lucky to have photographed so many beautiful weddings at Headlam Hall throughout this year, and previous years. Lauren & Jonathan’s wedding day was stunning in a pastel colour theme that really suited this fantastic venue.
Lauren seemed incredibly calm beforehand, and was having the finishing touches done to her hair by Joanne Oxley and make-up by Jo Leversuch, when we arrived. Lauren looked so beautiful and her gorgeous dress from Poppy Bridal hung on the wardrobe, ready to be worn! The bridesmaids wore floaty dresses in pastel shades of yellow, pink, purple and green, again from Poppy Bridal and all the girls had bouquets from Flowers by Nattrass in complementing shades. The whole look was so pretty, yet unusual at the same time.
Jonathan and his groomsmen looked the part in their suits from Greenwoods and enjoyed greeting all the guests as they arrived and made their way to the Edwardian Suite ready for the service. Everyone enjoyed the service, which was made extra special by Lauren’s sister, Rebecca, who read an extract from Captain Corelli’s Mandolin and brought a tear to many an eye!
Lauren & Jonathan really enjoyed having their first photographs taken as newly weds around Headlam Hall’s stunning gardens and we enjoyed taking them, the colour scheme looked fab! Before long it was time for everyone to take their seats in the Edwardian suite, which was beautifully dressed by Nattrass and Simply Bows, and await Lauren & Jonathan’s grand entrance.
Speeches, laughter and a fantastic meal followed before everyone danced the night away to band Midnight Circus!
