Meghann & Craig were married on Saturday 28th July at St.Nicholas’ Church, Guisborough and had their reception at The Black Swan, Helmsley, stopping on the way at Helmsley Castle for a fantastic photographic opportunity.

Arriving at Meghann’s parents house in Guisborough there was a lot of hustle and bustle! It was clear that everyone was very excited, although maybe a little nervous at the same time. Meghann was having the finishing touches done to her make-up so we took the opportunity to photograph detailed shots of Meghann’s dress, flowers & shoes. When Meghann got changed into her dress from Truly Beautiful in Guisborough everyone was awe-struck at how beautiful she looked and her look was completed with the most wonderful shoes from Charlie Co Shoes and a bouquet of red roses from Clover Florists in Guisborough. Meghann’s bridesmaids wore red and gold dresses from Sorelle Bridal Boutique in Sedgefield and, as Craig is in the army and was wearing his uniform, the red and gold theme went wonderfully with this.

While Sarah was photographing Meghann and her family before the service, Jane travelled to The King’s Head where Craig, his best man, ushers and family were getting ready. Roseberry Topping lies just behind The King’s Head and it was a great spot to photograph Craig looking so smart in his army uniform.

When we arrived at St.Nicholas’ there was a great atmosphere with guests chatting and looking forward to the day ahead. The service was lovely and the vicar invited us to return to the alter for some shots afterwards. Meghann & Craig left church under the crossed swords of the Guard of Honour and were then met with handfuls of confetti.

The happy couple, now feeling much calmer, travelled in style to Helmsley Castle with TPJ Cars of Stokesley and were met by admiring onlookers at the Castle. The whole bridal party went to the Castle where we took all of the formal groups and got some fantastic shots of Meghann & Craig around the grounds. Meghann truly looked like a princess!

While we were at Helmsley Castle the rest of the guests were entertained at The Black Swan by harpist Anita Aslin and everyone was desperate to congratulate the happy couple on their arrival. Their reception room looked lovely with floral table decorations by Clover Florists, balloons by Balloons Above and cake by Sweet Art of Marske.

Meghann & Craig enjoyed time with their family in the UK after the wedding as they live in Germany and will have a honeymoon in September. They were thrilled with their photographs and we can’t wait to get cracking designing their album!
