Kimberley & Gary were married on Saturday 11th August at Judges Country House Hotel near Yarm. Sarah was so thrilled to have been asked to be their photographer, not only because Judges is a wonderful place to take photographs, but also because Kimberley is one of her best friends.
Before the service Sarah went to Kimberley’s parent’s house to photograph her family in the beautiful garden that Kimberley’s Mum works so hard to keep looking stunning! Such a talented gardener, she had even grown all the flowers for the bouquets herself and Kimberley had put them together. Everyone was feeling really happy and laid back about the day ahead, even the horses and Kimberley’s beloved dog Churchill (who had his own tie!) were ready for the big day! Kimberley wore a stunning dress from Northallerton Bridal Factory Outlet and looked gorgeous and Sara, her bridesmaid wore a lovely shade of blue which worked perfectly with the flowers. Gary’s daughter Lauren, who was a flower girl, was there too and was really enjoying having her hair and nails done. Every girl needs a bit of pampering sometimes!
Over at Judges, Gary seemed a little nervous but soon settled down once everyone started arriving and we began taking the photographs. Soon Kimberley arrived (early!) and the service began. It was really lovely with a wonderful reading from Kimberley’s friends Pam, Claire & Vicky which they had written themselves using quotes from Kimberley’s favourite films and songs. Gary’s son Lucas made Sarah giggle throughout pulling funny faces at her, cheeky monkey!
After the service we did some lovely confetti shots. Kimberley had made the confetti herself as well as all the table decorations and cake, how talented!! We then photographed the groups and had a lovely time walking round the grounds with Kimberley, Gary, Lauren & Lucas while the rest of the guests enjoyed a glass of champagne in the courtyard. Judges has some wonderful places to take photographs.
After the meal (which was delicious), Gary made a speech thanking everyone and then the partying really began! Kimberley & Gary, rather nervously, took to the floor for their first dance and then later everyone was treated to a great band Johnny & The Moondogs who played Beatles covers and other 60’s and 70’s songs. The dance floor was packed and I don’t think Sara sat down once, she was the life and soul of the party!
Kimberley & Gary had a lovely week away in Sorrento and were thrilled with their photographs when they returned.
