Emma & Carl were married on 1st September 2012 at St.Andrew’s Church, South Church and had their reception at Wynyard Hall which is a wonderful venue, definitely one of our favourites so it’s always a pleasure to go there!
We arrived at the house on the morning of the wedding amidst a buzz of excitement! Emma, her 10 bridesmaids (yes 10!) and Mum & Dad were all trying to get ready for the big day. Ever willing to lend a helping hand, Ann & Sarah got to work fixing button holes in place and lacing up dresses before they’d even taken a shot! It didn’t take long for everyone to be ready though and we got some lovely shots of Emma and her bridesmaids once we’d fit them all in the room! Emma looked absolutely stunning in her dress and headdress from Poppy’s of Darlington and her bridesmaids wore a striking pink colour in dresses from Paris at the Metrocentre. Adam Prest designed and made the bouquets and they were really breathtakingly beautiful and worked so well with the colours of the bridesmaids dresses. Adam always does such a wonderful, professional job and he is a pleasure to work with.
We then drove to St.Andrews to meet Carl before the service. He was very relaxed and laid back and looked very smart in his suit from Greenwoods. We got some great shots of all the guests arriving looking very glam! Eventually Emma and her Dad arrived and everyone gasped at how beautiful Emma looked as she walked into church. The service was lovely and afterwards everyone was eager to congratulate the happy couple.
Emma & Carl travelled in style to Wynyard Hall with GW Holmes Cars, who Carl occasionally works for and there was a big surprise waiting for them at Wynyard’s golden gates in the form of a horse drawn carriage from the North East Carriage Company. Emma’s Mum & Dad had booked them as a surprise and Emma was thrilled. We got some lovely shots of them over the bridge. By the time Emma & Carl had arrived at Wynyard Hall all of their guests were there to greet them and see them arrive in the carriage.
After photographing the groups we took Emma & Carl around the grounds and got some lovely shots of them and then we all went to admire the room. They had chosen the conservatory room which looked absolutely stunning decorated in the wonderful bright colours that they had chosen. Adam was there putting the finishing touches to the floral table decorations which looked gorgeous and the piece de resistance was a fantastic cake from Burnett 4 Cakes who we always recommend to our wedding clients.
Emma & Carl thoroughly enjoyed the rest of their wedding day and had a wonderful honeymoon. They were thrilled with their wedding photographs and are now wondering how they are going to choose between them for their album!
