Michelle & Will were married at Headlam Hall Hotel on 23rd March 2013 under at least 6 inches of crisp, white snow! Headlam Hall is a favourite venue of ours that we have photographed in all seasons and in all weathers! It is a lovely venue with gorgeous grounds and we always look forward to going there.
Despite the unseasonal weather, Michelle was in high spirits, so excited about the day ahead and thrilled that we would be able to get some gorgeous pictures in the snow! Michelle looked stunning in her dress from Bridal Rogue Gallery of York complete with a pretty shrug to keep some of the chill off! Her white rose bouquet by Anna Hunton complimented her dress beautifully and the whole bridal look was finished with make-up by Headlam Hall and hair by Evolve of York.
During the service, guests were entertained by professional opera singers Emily Smith and David Pisaro who are friends of the bride and groom and there was a wonderful reading from Joy Smith, Will’s Mum.
After the service all the fun began as Michelle pulled on her wellies and we ventured out onto Headlam Hall’s snow-covered grounds. Michelle & Will were really up for having fun in the snow and were more than happy to run across the lawn, umbrellas in hand! It was so lovely that they enjoyed the snow and weren’t disheartened by it! We love taking photographs in the snow, it’s so much fun!
Michelle and Will enjoyed a fantastic reception and were entertained by the Captain Planet Band before jetting off for a weeks skiing in France (yes, more snow!) followed by 2 weeks thawing out in Thailand!
