Susan Jayne Grice and John Anthony Todd were married on 31st March 2013 at The Morritt, Greta Bridge near Barnard Castle. We always love photographing weddings at The Morritt because they are always really laid back, fun days, as the venue lends itself to this type of celebration!

Who would have thought that Susan & John’s, Easter Sunday, wedding would have had such a wintry feel, and even a scattering of snow! Certainly not the happy couple when they ordered flowers in such beautiful spring colours from Muscari. They added such a beautiful splash of colour to the day and reminded everyone that spring was on it’s way (if a little late!) The chilly weather was not going to dampen the spirits of anyone, however, and we were pleased to find a very smiley bride, groom and guests! Susan looked beautiful and radiant in her bespoke dress by Rebecca Atkinson of Applegarth Couture and John looked very smart in his suit from Greenwoods.

The service was lovely and touching, with a candle lighting ceremony and everyone was treated to the stunning voice of soprano, Rebecca Newman. A truly stunning talent!

Despite the cold, all the guests were happy to gather outside for a group shot of everyone and we even had confetti before dashing back inside to warm up! The guests enjoyed a drink and a giggle with the happy couple before it was time for the wedding breakfast in the beautifully decorated room, again by Muscari.
