Chantel & Michael were married at St.Saviour’s Church, Shotton Colliery on the 25th August 2013 and had a reception at Lumley Castle, a fantastic, 600 year old venue in County Durham with bags of charm and character.
We arrived at Chantel’s Mum’s house to photograph the bridal preparations to find all the girls enjoying a glass of bubbly and a giggle in their matching dressing gowns. Chantel’s parents had even newly decorated the room for the occassion and it looked lovely! When Chantel got changed into her gorgeous dress from Just Perfect of Shotton (with a little help from Dad!) everyone agreed that she looked stunning. Together with a headdress from Glitzy Secrets, fabulous hair styled by Kayleigh Tiplady and pretty pink bouquet from Maria’s of Wingate, Chantel’s wedding day outfit looked simply beautiful! Chantel’s bridesmaids wore pretty pink dresses from SimplyBridal.com to tie in with the pink theme!
Over at the church Michael’s nerves were growing but his mates were keeping him down to earth, and all looked smart in their suits from Troughear Suit Hire of Durham. Guests arrived wishing Michael luck and before we knew it, it was time for the service to begin. A lovely service with a heartfelt reading from Michael’s Mum, all the guests enjoyed sharing in the happy couple’s big day and showering them in confetti afterwards!
After travelling in luxury with Exclusive Wedding Cars to the reception we took the opportunity to photograph Chantel & Michael with the car whilst the guests arrived. Chantel was a bit of a natural in front of the camera!
The room looked stunning with a fabulous cake from Celebration Cakes of Horden and we used the lovely window light and quirky features of the room in some of the photographs.
After a lovely honeymoon in Rhodes, a very brown Chantel & Michael came to look at their photographs and were over the moon with them.
