Laura & Shaun were married on Saturday the 31st of August 2013 at The George, Piercebridge, a lovely, friendly venue near Darlington. The whole wedding was such a pleasure to photograph as everyone was so relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed sharing in Laura & Shaun’s big day.
Before the service, Laura seemed very laid back and if she was feeling nervous it didn’t show. Having already had her hair styled by Elite of Bishop Auckland, Laura was having the finishing touches done to her make-up by Lisa Devanny, when we arrived. Laura then got changed into her dress from Grace of Darlington (with a little help from Dad with lacing the back) and everyone was stunned at how beautiful she looked. Together with a lovely bouquet from First for Flowers and headdress, again from Grace, Laura was all set for her big day! Her bridesmaids wore dresses in a deep burgundy colour and this was the theme for the day.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Shaun was calming the nerves with a swift pint before he had his photograph taken with his two best men, all three looking smart in their suits from Greenwoods. Before long it was time fro the service to take place and the guests gathered excitedly and awaited the bride’s entrance on Dad’s arm. The service was lovely with a tear-jerking reading from friend Hayley Rogers and afterwards the passing shower cleared quickly which meant everyone could enjoy drinks outside in The George’s lovely riverside garden.
Laura, Shaun and guests alike enjoyed a really happy afternoon with confetti, laughs and chatting whilst we photographed everyone and just when tummies were starting to rumble it was time for the wedding breakfast in the beautifully decorated reception room by Party On Direct with piece de resistance – a wonderful cake from the Durham Cake Company and entertainment from the, very talented, Jeff Dingle & The Mood Swing Trio.
Laura & Shaun came back to the studio after a wonderful honeymoon in Paris and New York to see their photographs and were so pleased with them. They are now awaiting the arrival of their Graphistudio wedding book, just in time for showing it off to family and friends at Christmas!
