Karen & Bob were married on the 13th October 2013 at, the beautiful, Rockliffe Hall near Darlington. We photographed Bob’s daughter’s wedding a few years earlier so were thrilled to be asked to photograph Bob & Karen’s.
Karen looked stunning in her dress, headdress and shoes, all from Dobinson’s of Darlington. Mrs Dobinson has over 40 years experience of making brides look fantastic and we would definitely recommend!
Karen’s look was finished with hair styled by Nadine Wilson, make-up by Sam at Rockliffe Hall and a beautiful bouquet in stunning Autumn colours by Nattrass. The bridesmaids had dresses to match in an Autumnal but uplifting orange, again from Dobinson’s. Everyone was very excited beforehand, including Karen’s two pretty flower girls who couldn’t resist a little bounce on the bed!
Bob seemed very calm and collected and enjoyed having his photograph taken with his, very smart, grandson!
Soon it was time for the service and everyone gathered in The Morning Room which looked lovely with lots of lovely Autumn light streaming through the large windows. Karen walked in to the music of string quartet Aurora Strings and readings from Bob’s daughter Ruth, friend Ruth Crosby Stewart and Bob himself gave a really heart-warming personal touch to the service.
Afterwards, we were so pleased to see that earlier showers had cleared to make way for some, dare I say it, warm sunshine for the time of year and everyone was happy to go outside for some photographs in Rockliffe Hall’s beautiful grounds.
Karen and Bob returned from their honeymoon of a once in a lifetime trip to the Masai Mara and the Serengeti on Safari and then something more relaxing in Mauritius, to see their photographs that they were thrilled with.
