Claire & Iain were married on the 6th April 2014 at Whitworth Church, Spennymoor and had a lovely reception at Headlam Hall.
We arrived at Claire’s parents house on the morning to find everyone very calm (apart from the poor dog who was wondering why lots of strange people were in her house!). Kate Pymm was just putting the finishing touches to Claire and her bridesmaids hair and make-up and they all looked so pretty. We took some detail shots of the flowers and then it was time for Claire to get changed into her gorgeous dress from Dobinsons of Darlington. She looked so beautiful and radiant and brought a tear to her Mum & Dad’s eyes as she walked down the stairs. The bridesmaids wore lovely, purple dresses from Tonia Ann of Washington and all the outfits were finished with pretty bouquets which were made by a, very talented, family friend.
Over at Whitworth Church, Iain was starting to get very nervous as guests arrived, but him and his groomsmen looked the part in their suits from Greenwoods 1860. Claire walked into a candle lit church with a choir singing which was very atmospheric and the service that followed was lovely! After walking out into a sea of smiling faces and a cloud of confetti, the newly weds travelled in style with TPJ Prestige & Classic Cars to Headlam Hall.
We were very lucky, that the rain held off just long enough to get some great shots of Claire & Iain around Headlam Hall’s gorgeous grounds, and thanks goes to Claire’s Dad who did a cracking job of getting the flower girl to smile during the groups!! 🙂
Speeches followed in the, beautifully decorated, Edwardian Suite and included a set of false teeth, and a blow-up Iain amongst other things, then everyone danced the night away after the wedding breakfast…
