Alexandra & Dominic were married on 16th July 2014 at Headlam Hall near Darlington. We love photographing at Headlam Hall, it is such a gorgeous venue and we are honoured to be on their recommended suppliers list!
Alex was really excited when we met her in the room beforehand. Looking stunning with her make-up done and hair beautifully styled by Cheryl at The Loft we got some great shots of Alex in her dressing gown, waiting patiently for her bridesmaids to get ready so they could help her into her beautiful dress from Wedding Day Fashions. Alex looked so elegant and was a natural in front of the camera!
The bridesmaids wore dresses in a forest green and bright orange bouquets from Blair’s Florists were a wonderful contrast. It soon became clear that the inspiration was from Dominic’s traditional Irish kilt from Greenwoods. Him and his best man looked very smart and kilts made a lovely change to suits!
Before long, guests started to take their seats in the Edwardian Suite and Dominic stood nervously awaiting Alex’s grand entrance. The service was wonderful, with a heartfelt reading from Erin Millar which had everyone welling up a little, and afterwards the newly weds walked out into a sea of smiling faces and a cloud of bubbles!
The happy couple enjoyed having their photograph taken around the grounds and we were thrilled that Headlam Hall was really in full bloom with a photographic opportunity around every corner.
After group photos Alex and Dominic returned to the Edwardian Suite to be the first to see their room set up for the wedding breakfast. It looked bright and cheerful with pops of bright orange on the chair covers and matched beautifully with the flowers.
Alex & Dominic loved their photographs and we loved photographing such a fantastic couple!
