Paula & Ian were married on Sunday 17th August 2014 at Headlam Hall, near Darlington. Followers of our blog will know that Headlam Hall is one of our favourite venues, so we were thrilled to be back there for another beautiful wedding day!
When we arrived, Paula was busy getting ready so we took the opportunity to photograph the gorgeous flowers from Clare’s Florist, Washington and the happy couple’s children, who looked so sweet in their wedding day outfits. Paula had her hair and make-up styled by Tracey Taylor of Beautiful Bridal Makeovers and when she got changed into her dress from Wedding Essentials, Newcastle, she looked simply stunning!
Ian was busy greeting guests and was more than happy to stop for a few photographs before the service. Looking smart in his suit from Slater’s of Newcastle, we also noticed the elephant motif on both Ian, and his son’s ties.
The service was lovely, with a big job for Paula & Ian’s son who gave away his Mum and was also the ring bearer! He did his job very well and everyone was very impressed! Paula & Ian also exchanged red roses as a sign of their love for each other, which was very sweet!
Headlam Hall’s grounds were in full bloom on this bright, sunny afternoon and were a joy to photograph the newly-weds in. With a stone seat, a hedged walkway, orchard and bridge we really are spoiled for choice. The room too was lovely, with red roses as the theme and a gorgeous cake by Helen Stafford at Bake A Wish of Houghton Le Spring.
After the wedding, Paula & Ian enjoyed a much deserved break at Summerseat Cottage in Beadnell, Northumberland and were over the moon with their photographs.
