Sarah & Laurence were married on the 27th August 2017 at Bishop Auckland Methodist Church. They had their reception at Walworth Castle which is a beautiful venue that we work at regularly, built in 1189, this medieval castle is a unique and stunning wedding venue. With the sun shining on this lovely bank holiday weekend, we knew it was going to be a perfect day for the bride and groom.

We arrived at Sarah’s parent’s house with the sun still shining! The flowers were a traditional stunning colour of red and white, matching the bride’s dress and the red bridesmaid’s dresses. Sarah’s dress was a beautiful traditional dress with a mesh and lace bodice from Special Occasions . The Garden at the house was filled with stunning colourful flowers from Ultimate Flowers , this teamed with the shining sun, made such a nice backdrop for the photographs of Sarah, her bridesmaids and parents before they set off for the church! William, Sarah and Laurence’s little boy, had fallen asleep whilst Sarah and her bridesmaids got ready for the big day. Thankfully he woke up for the ceremony and he didn’t have to miss his Mum and Dad’s big moment!

Over at the church we met Laurence who was greeting guests as they arrived, there was such a lovely atmosphere. He looked very smart in his suit from Greenwoods and seemed very calm about the big day, even if he was slightly nervous under the surface.

Sarah and her Dad arrived with GW Holmes Wedding Cars, another fantastic North East wedding supplier.  Laurence’s face, as Sarah walked into church on her Dad’s arm, was a picture! The smiles didn’t leave their faces for the whole ceremony. When the bride and groom walked out of church as newlyweds, they were met with a cloud of confetti and a sea of smiling faces.

After the ceremony and some group photographs outside the church, all the guests and the happy couple made their way to the magnificent Walworth Castle. We were quick to take full advantage of the new lady pavilion for photographs and all of the lovely grounds. We took them inside to the large stained glass window, one of our favourite places to take pictures at this venue, the sun shining in the window created such a lovely effect.

The newly weds loved their photographs and were so excited when their book arrived from Graphistudio in Italy, our fantastic suppliers. It was an absolute pleasure photographing your wedding, Sarah & Laurence!
